My room had a bad mildew/smoke odor. We changed rooms and it was the same problem. Housekeeping is HORRIBLE did not refill toilet paper/kleenex box was empty! She left all my dirty cups & food wrappers (trash) around my room. They were obviously trash (dirty∅)
Did not leave clean towels also left dirty towels under sink in bathroom. I will not ever stay in this hotel or will never recommend.

The staff were great from the custodials to the front desk they were very helpful and welcoming we forgot something and we went back and the stuff was able to recover it & give it back to us very reliable

The breakfast was delicious and I liked the overall experience of the stay. I was able to check in at a later time because I don’t live in the area and the staff was very nice and understanding about it.

Speedy check in without issues. I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Hair was left behind in the bathroom floor and shower. The bedroom area had a horrible ridge on the carpet. As the photo shows. Unable to upload photo but at least 1½ inch ridge. As always, great breakfast and social hour.

Rooms smell
Of mildew, I was accommodated by a room switch but the second room smelled the same. It was making me nauseous, had to go buy Lysol to spray room, furniture, & curtains. Carpet probably needs to be cleaned

We booked just a one night stay to celebrate my child graduating elementary school. She wanted to swim, order room service, and just have a good time. We do this often. Stay at random hotels nearby to swim and relax and out of all of them over the last few years, this one got the highest rating from both the kids and the adults. The rooms were spacious, super clean, and had a mini fridge and microwave which is super beneficial when staying with children. The pool was salt water, refreshing, big, and not in direct sun. The room service was prompt and the food was delicious and reasonable priced. The free breakfast buffet in the morning had a decent selection and an omletter bar. Additionally, the staff were beyond helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel if staying in the San Marcos area.

I booked the presidential suite. When I checked in at 5pm the “in room” dining was not available. I would think there would have been bottled water in the room. The only thing on the counter were water bottle toppers that said $7 for the bottle of water that wasn’t there. The shower never got hot but the hot tub did. When I checked in I got a text from the staff welcoming me there. The text ask if I needed anything and I replied “yes” I need a cork screw and some ice… “crickets” after that. The carpet in the presidential suite was smelly and stained. I went to check out early but the line was 10 deep with only one person working desk. The only good thing was the breakfast buffet. This hotel was not worth $450 a night for a suite.

The elevator situation. At times, only one elevator was working during the most busiest times: checking in and checking out times.
Many were forced to take the stairs with all their luggage. Inconvenient, but the hotel has potential of becoming top if this situation is resolve.
